What was Mary feeling right before Jesus? birth? Note: She is described here as an unwed pregnant woman, who was forced to travel away from her family, only to deliver her baby in a barn?
I can only imagine what Mary was feeling. She must have been exhausted traveling when she was so close to giving birth. And then to give birth in a barn to a son that would some day be Lord. I`m sure this was not how she expected to give birth to the Son of God. But, whereas, I would feel saddened by these events, Mary never complained. She put her complete trust in God, and welcomed each event with a gladdened heart.

At the same time, she might had some tension as what the people will tell about her, as she was pledged to be married to Joseph. But Mary had surrendered herself before God to fulfil His will.

The Birth of Jesus Christ

Now it happened in those days, that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be enrolled. This was the first enrollment made when Quirinius was governor of Syria. All went to enroll themselves, everyone to his own city. Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David; to enroll himself with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him as wife, being pregnant.
It happened, while they were there, that the day had come that she should give birth. She brought forth her firstborn son, and she wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a feeding trough, because there was no room for them in the inn.
