Why is giving in secret more to be commended that giving where people can see it?
We give in secret because we are doing these things for the glory of God, not to bring glory to ourselves.

Beacuse the main thing is to help the needy ones. The Lord will know. We don`t do that to boost the ego in front of the earthly important people. That risks becoming more a way to show off our financial higher position aiming at gaining more support from those holding finmacial and or political power. The needy ones become a tool and the intentiosn are not pure. Also that can blind as to where the help is truly needed. Political interests risk diverting the focus even in potentially dangerous directions forbidden by the Bible. Placing the emphasis on men`s rather than God`s approval. It doesnt stem from a clearr and clearly thinking conscience.

Giving to the Needy

"Be careful that you don't do your charitable giving before men, to be seen by them, or else you have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. Therefore when you do merciful deeds, don't sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward. But when you do merciful deeds, don't let your left hand know what your right hand does, so that your merciful deeds may be in secret, then your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
