Why was Jesus born in a barn?
Jesus was born in a barn--otherwise known as a stable--simply because there was no room at the inn (Luke 2:1-7).

All the inns, hotels and guest rooms in Bethlehem were full. There was not a single room left for Mary, who was pregnant with Jesus, and her husband Joseph. And Mary was ready to have her baby. Desperate, and with no place else to go, they were able to lodge in a stable where there was straw to keep them warm. Jesus` first cradle was, in fact, a manger--a straw-filled trough which was usually used to feed the animals.

However, since Jesus is God`s Son, and since God can do anything, He could have been born anywhere. God could have worked it out that He be born in a nice inn or fancy room. But God chose for His Son to be born in a stable. This is because Jesus came in humility and in poverty to identify with the poorest and weakest among us.

Jesus is the King of Kings and could have been born in a palace. Instead, He chose the path of humility, of lowliness and simplicity.

Jesus could have been born in luxury. Instead, He was born in a stable with animals. How glorious a King Jesus is that He would humble yield to such a lowly birth!

Why was Jesus born in a barn?
The INN was not a pub, It was a huge many floored house for those of David's line No one wanted Mary around, she should of been stoned for being pregnant out of wedlock. But Joseph protected her. They only room left in the house of David was at the very bottom, The manger where the holiest of lambs destined for sacrifice on the altar where borned. Thus Jesus, The holiest of sacrifices was born in the same place. Mangers where dark wet dirty smelly places. Not clean like modern day themes make them out to be. Jesus was born in the manger to keep inline with his destiny, to be the sacrifice for all mankind. All the lambs born for the alters to be sacrificed on where born in the same place.

The reason why there was no room at the Inn is, God did not want room at the Inn. God did not want His Holy Son born there amid drunkenness, sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery, idol worshippers, evil thoughts, etc. In short there was SIN in the INN and so it was not a fitting place for the birth of a Holy God. At that time, that was the stable! It would have been nothing for the creator of all things seen and unseen to provide the grandest palace adorned with Gold and Silver but it was not with gold and silver we were to be saved nor would the Lord condone mammon and greed. The humble stable with the animals that bore no sin was the cleanest place for our Saviour to be born. Many brothers and sisters tend to focus on either the Inn it was full; or the time a busy time; people on the move; the tax season; the town was busy; all other hotels/inns were full; or the event, the census, the tax season etc. However had our Living God wanted, I don't think there would have been any major problem on His part to provide a room at any inn of His choosing, at any time regardless of how many people were or were not coming for any census or event at that time. It was God's wisdom and predestination alone that His Son Jesus Christ be born on ground that was holy and without sin in the camp We have an all powerful God where ALL things are possible and who knows ALL things past, present and future, and He had already made up His mind to have His Son born on ground made Holy by His presence I hope this revelation has been a blessing to you and an encouragement to your faith.

Jesus was born in a barn because he is the LAMB of GOD and lambs are born in barns. And also Jesus came in humility and in poverty to identify with the poorest and weakest among us.

Why was Jesus born in a barn?
Jesus was born in a barn with animals around, because when Joseph and Mary walked house by house looking for a place to stay because he was going to be born and it was cold out and they had no where to go every one said NO when they asked for a place to stay. so they went to a barn to give birth to baby Jesus. then the three kings came to see him.
