Course Description ''Daily Jesus''

With daily lessons over the course of one year, this course fully covers the biographies on Jesus from Matthew, Mark, Luke and John (the "Gospels"). These biographies represent the most historically accurate and reliable sources about Jesus, as they were written by actual eyewitnesses (John and Matthew) or recorders (Luke and Mark) living in the same century as Jesus.

Time Requirement

  • The course is designed for those willing to read about Jesus for 5 minutes per day (with optional time for assignments).
  • If you selected the scheduled course, you will be reminded of your daily lessons by email.
  • The material repeats every 365 days (1 year).

John`s Biography of Jesus - Table of Contents
John was a Jewish fisherman from the northern Israeli town of Capernaum, where Jesus and John spent most of Jesus` final three years. John was one of Jesus` closest disciples, and possibly his "best friend". His biography of Jesus was written last of the four biographies, and sought to be more unique than the others. It is also found in the Bible`s New Testament section, called the Gospel (Good News) according to John.

Matthew`s Biography of Jesus - Table of Contents
Matthew was a Jewish tax collector from the northern Israeli town of Capernaum, where Jesus and Matthew spent most of Jesus` final three years. Matthew was one of Jesus` closest twelve disciples. His biography of Jesus was written in Hebrew around 80 A.D. intended for Jewish audiences. It is also found in the Bible`s New Testament section, called the Gospel (Good News) according to Matthew.

Mark`s Biography of Jesus - Table of Contents
Mark was a Roman national, and worked as an interpreter for Jesus` lead disciple, Peter. Written for a Roman audience and with Peter`s input, Mark scribed this biography of Jesus likely between 50 and 70 AD. It is also found in the Bible`s New Testament section, called the Gospel (Good News) according to Mark.

Luke`s Biography of Jesus - Table of Contents
Luke was a Greek physician from the coastal town of Antioch. Luke`s biography of Jesus was written in Greek and addressed to the Greek-speaking "most excellent Theophilus" in an effort to provide "an orderly account" of what actually happened. Luke is known as being a close companion of Paul, an early leader among followers of Jesus. Luke`s biography of Jesus is found in the Bible`s New Testament section, called the Gospel (Good News) according to Luke.
