HOW DID JESUS PAY OUR PENALTY FOR SIN?
JESUS,pay our penalty for us so that we may come close to the FATHER, because our sin separated us from the father so he came to take up our sinful nature and want to the crose to secrifiles himself for us all.

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?
he suffered in every way and form to carry our sins..For his love is so great that he was  willing to suffer in every way for us. To clease us of our sins. Thank you Jesus. I love you...

I will start considering that eventhough Jesus had a holy nature, because he was the son of God, he adopted our human aspect, he became flesh, consecuently his body had to pass through natural physical pain. But it is something that Jesus wanted to endure, consciensly, acording to the Father plan. With the physical pain Jesus wanted also to understand our sufferings, but also because he wanted to offer to his Father all our sufferings in him in expiation for our sins. With his physical and emotional pain he wanted to teach us the way that physical and emotional pain can save us and not destroy us. How to overcome pain. And separation from God also was included, because Jesus wanted to suffer all, not something, not a bit, every thing ..his last breath, his last blood, every thing. He new our salvation was worthy. Every thing to that cause was worthy.

In my own view, I will say that it is because that God made it like that. In the book of John 3:16. and if you see what happened in the Garden of Eden. God love man with all his heart and unfortunately man fall to sin. For God to bring man into his place again He sends his son Jesus Christ to come and die for us so that we will be in paces with Him again because He first Love us in the beginning. And again Jesus is flesh and blood like us that is why He "sin" include physical and emotional pain not only spiritual

Jesus' penalty for sin needed to include physical and emotional pain to show us how much he loves us. He showed us that he will endure all our pain. There's nothing Jesus would'nt do for us and the pain he suffered shows it all!!!

Because he needed to go through what every person (sinner) on this earth went through.  He was tempted the same way we were, in our flesh and spirit.  But the most imporant thing is he did it without sinning. His example shows us with the power of the Holy Spirit theirs nothing impossible.  Now we can be assured of our salvation, keep mediating on God's Word and continue to praise God for everything.

"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?)
NO!! Not at all.  Jesus was doing and saying things that had aiready been written and planned out before He was born. He was simply following, trusting and obeying his father, God.
