Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?
The pyhsical pain that Jesus suffer demostrated to man the ultimate sacrafice that He had to endure for man's sake. Through Jesus man was given an example of the pain the greatest man who ever lived had to endure so we could have life and life more abundantly.
