"Which of these purposes do you believe Jesus accomplished?"
I believe he accomplished them all. He may not have gotten through to everyone but he set forth to. And for those that he got through to they/ we are here to further his and gods work to pass along the greatness and love of god. And let others know who god is and what he is about.

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?

I believe that Jesus had to suffer physical and emotional pain because he was fully human and had to endure pain to understand what we go thru here on earth.  I feel that this is why we can take anything to our Lord Jesus.  He knows what we go thru here on earth.  He has been here too and has been thru the trials and tribulations that go along with humanness.

Because He offered to His Father our physical and emotional pain ( He took them on Himself),for our conversion and forgiveness if sins.

Because we as humans suffer in that way. We feel the physical beatings and  emotional stress of rejection. Jesus was human on earth and was here to serve as we are. He lived as a man and died in the same manner a man would in the same position. The pain and suffering of being beaten, rejected, and ridiculed the way He was would be felt today as it was then.

"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?)
Jesus let it be known and understood to everyone exactly what was going to happen to Him. He knew His own fate and still asked for forgiveness for the people that were torturing him. His amazing love and grace has always shown through and His desire to be loved and accepted was passed on to us!

I don't think so. He never backed down from His mission by cleansing the temple. He accepted His fate gracefully. Jesus grew bolder in His statements the closer it was to His cruxification.
