Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?
God became flesh and made his dwelling among us as Jesus.Certain price has to be paid to save the mankind from the sin which includes physical and emotional pain.As son of man,Jesus  not only paid the penalty  but also spiritually seperated from God.This spiritual seperation is no need  to suffer by the mankind,because of His heviest sacrifice.

"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?)
No,Jesus was not trying to incite his death. Jesus perfectly knew that on which mission he came to this world. His teachings in synagogues,His miracles,His suffering,His crucifiction,His death,and His ressurrection are all god's plan to redeem the people from evil. God loved this world very much. All are predicted and predetermined. so ,we have to realise His love towards people and accept him as our saviour to enter into the Kingdom of God.

Jesus came to this world to save us from our sins, to have eternal life.He came to give good news to the poor and  to preach the the kingdom of God.He sacrificed  His life for us.In this way,Jesus acomplished all his assignments entrusted by the father,who loves the world.

How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him?" a "New" commandment?
If anybody obidient and loves Him,Jesus loves him and he will not have any thirsty and granted flow rivers of living water and also grant rest for his soul.

I'll ask him if it is possible that mankind be equal in all aspects in life,no descriminations fair in treatment by others.I will also request to him if he could touch the politicians, government officials and the teachers specially those corrupt ones so our country will become progressive and lessen the people who are living below poverty line. And iwill also discuss to him if he could make all the people to live with spiritually filled life so that everyone will live a happy and loving life.

If we are obidient to HIS commandment  and he who loves Me shall be love d by my FATHER , and I will love him, and will disclose Myself to him.

I think that God has to separate Himself to Jesus , so like us Jesus must feel the physical, emotional pain and suffering .GOD has a plan fof JESUS ,without all these  we will not be SAVE . " FOR GOD LOVE THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON ".
