| About Me | I am a 61 yr. old widow. I have a son & a daughter both in their 30`s. They have each given me two granddaughters. I am Baptist and teach Sunday School. I teach a Home School art class once a week. I have just recently left my home of 36 yrs. and gone to an apartment. Downsizing has been a difficult process and I`m not done yet. | | Why I’m using this website | I never had the opportunity to go to Christian Collage and learn the Bible. Even though I have been born again since the age of 7 I still need to learn a lot more about the Bible and the Christ Whoo died for me. | | Interests | Flowers, doing brain exercises on my DS, reading and knitting. | | Music | Good old fashioned Christian music. I also like to listen quietly to Kenny G on his sax. I don`t go to movies. | | Food | Seafood, homemade soups, snack type, all kinds of fruit. | | Heroes | Christ !! |

I went to the same church most of my life. Was baptized as a teenager. Taught Sunday school. Moved to a new church about 7 yrs. ago. Still teach Sunday school and work at VBS. My first child was supposed to be GROSSLY deformed because of meds I was on for Lupus. I prayed daily for a strong healthy child. One morning I got up and knew that my unborn child was ok. He was born whole & undeformed. I also had to trust Him when we adopted our little girl, that the natural mother would not ask for her back. I learned after all was said and done that she had wanted to take my little girl back but had not. I know that it was God in control and answering my prayers in both cases. By remaining faithful to Him & being a testimony to my husband he too accepted Christ before he passed away. I have gone to Ladies Advance and if any of you ladies out there geet a chance to go to one by all means do so, you will never be sorry you went. | | | How has Jesus helped me (with self, family, work)? | | I think I answered self & family above. I was ridiculed at work for being a good Baptist by people I worked with but I remained steadfast and He blessed me. | | | How has Jesus changed me? | | He changed me from a wicked filthy rag to a kind,loving God fearing lady. He has made me strong and able to win victories over the trials in my life. | | | How do I describe "A relationship with Jesus?" | | a relationship with Jesus is when you daily search His Word, momorize scripture, pray without ceasing, completely depending upon Him and seeking His wisdom. Sharing Christ with others. | | | Why and how did I become a follower of Jesus? | | When I was 9 our Pastor`s wife always gave a little children`s message just before the worship service started.I felt God tugging at my heart and heard His gentle voice telling me I really needed to be saved. I talked with my SS teacher and she explained how to be saved and I accepted Christ as my savior. In my early teens I backslid & thank God, He picked me up and brushed me off and I came back to Him. | |
