How come the unbelief of His countrymen prevented Jesus from performing many mighty works among them? It is our belief and faith in Jesus that make the Lord perform even a work; where there's no belief nor faith there's no action.

Why did God allow John to be beheaded by Herod? I believe its because He has served his purpose of preparing the way for the Messiah and the messiah was here,to him God was good him to rest the hardship of the world for his porpuse of claelling the of messiah was finished.now the mission was to follow Jesus not John the baptist,and another side his death signifies the love and trust his God not to fear the death flesh and change his statment.
