Why was Mary`s annointing so meaningful to Jesus? Mary had anointed him for his burial even though she was not aware of Jesus' impending crucifixion. Mary showed she had a humble spirit & compassion.Mary's annointing was so meaningful to Jesus because she anointed his feet out of love for him and mary believed that Jesus was God's Son and it was preparation of Jesus crucifixion and burial.
