Why did not the Father let the cup pass and spare Jesus the pain of the crucifiction? it had been foretold that Jesus would die for our sins, so that we could have eternal life. God knew the terrible pain that Jesus would endure was necessary to cleanse us our sins and shortcomings so that we could have eternal life.and if God can passes this cup to him then his popurse of our reconciliation with him may not be achived.and all of this to be happened to Jesus was a very great love to mankind.

Why do you think Peter was so emphatic and yet so wrong about denying Jesus? Peter was emphatic because he truly believed at that time he would truly die for Jesus and in reallity peter loved him but the flesh which always bring fear because the flesh has no faith.
