499 entries for this category: after studying the lesson, i can define compassion as "deep concern" jesus show his mercy for the people who are suffuring from different challange eccountered. the deep concren of jesus enables him to change the the statusquo and also leads him to the extend of crying for his friend. his pronouncements also shouk be of deep concern to humanity. the multitudes that followed Him were ignorant and less serious to carry even something to eat...they were like sheep just following without a shepherd they would not take initiative hence needed more workers to preach and teach God's Word to them. the blind men prescrived what they would have done to themslves by a mustard seed amount of faith since they knew within them that they could see jesus what they beliveved only him could and would do. He also did same to the leper willingly, likewise to this woman of the dead person, all to the admiration of the multitudes. all the time that Mary's brother was alive, they all knew a lot that jesus was capable of doing but never paid attention to what Jesus expected them to learn of his coming when he heard that his friend wsa sick... if someone exercise faith in the face of the challenge of the devil, he expecred...there was none.Everyone needed just him to do it thus implying ignorance(of the lessons) of the quthority of the power in the word of God or in the name of jesus over stan. Jesus wept and the multitude had just the worldly understanding why he wept...like the usual weeping at funerals.
What did the blind man acknowledge about Jesus by calling him the "Son of David."? Note: David was a great king of Israel. The "Messiah" was predicted to be a direct descendent of David, as Jesus was.
