4805 entries for this category: What point is Jesus making when He states "eternal life" is knowing the Father and Jesus Christ? Before knowing the Father and the Son, one must seek for eternal life. Which is obtanable through hearing or reading the word of God, then believing, then confessing both one's wrong deeds and that Jesus is Son of God, repenting and be baptized and therefore saved. Then one receives the Holy Spirit who teaches all things concerning God and Son. And through Him is eternal life which is changing mortal body into immortal body by the time of physical death.

How can we experience the peace Jesus promised when we are in difficult circumstances? Peace and joy is the confirmation that you have the Holy Spirit inside you. I don't think whether it is conceivable to the one who hasn't this gift from Him, but what I can say is that He will tend to stabilize the state of your heart whenever you encounter any problem whatever hard it is. Even before you know what bad thing will come in future, the Spirit will start to make you feel a state of innermost joy and peace so that by the time of bad encounter, you will be found already stabilized. I just cannot explain it well. All in all, when you receive Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, by repentance and baptism of water submersion, you will be saved right away and soon or later you will receive this gift of the Holy Spirit and if you can't experience Him inside you, then just ask for Him from God the Father through Jesus Christ, you will be given Him. When Jesus states concerning being inside you and you inside Him, it is through this Holy Spirit the third Person of the God Triune.
