It has always helped me passively, to have a feeling that to every unpleasant encounter He is with me,and then have a confidence on how to go through it. And directly, I get the warning of the coming temptations which I could have not noticed if I had no intimate fellowship with God through prayers.

Jesus said: "Pray that you don`t enter into temptation." What is temptation? Temptaion is the test of someone's level of faith, patience, endurance, resitance and so on, in the process of sanctification of all the people called by God into His kingdom. It is an inevitable prerequisite to sainthood, whose failure can lead to lost calling or rather late achievement of the calling. It can come into diferrent forms at different times finding you in different situtions but the most important thing is to always ask yourself what does God say on how to deal with every what you encounter being aware or not if that is a temptation.
