Judas was one of the 12 men closest to Jesus. Why would Judas betray Jesus? I think that all this things that happened those times were already planed by God,and so the betrayal was to fulfill it even Jesus him self knew about it and told the desciples in advance,furthermore it brought redemption to mankind,and sins were washed away.
