Jesus answers that to be saved, it is not enough for the person to know the Lord, rather the Lord needs to know the person. What does this mean? It means that you should have a personal relationship with the Lord by doing his will that he taught us the time he was on earth. Knowing him may not be enough to save us, so we need to do his will and desire to plaese him all the time in our lives in order for us to be saved.
