I think Jesus wanted total dedication and not halfhearted commitment to him from this man. Likewise, we can not pick and choose among Jesus's ideas and follow him selectively, we must accept the cross along with the crown, i.e. judgement as well as mercy.

jesus life Jesus was born in jerusalem 2000 years ago in bethelhem at aplace were cattle is herd to Joseph a carpenter and Mary,he started preaching in the synagogue at the age of 12 years.However he was condemned by the jewish leaders because of claiming to be God and because of the message he preached to the jewish community.Notwithstanding the pressure jesus continued to move on the ministry until his fate was met when he was crucified on the cross purposely because of you and me by those who failed to understand who he was.in conclusion its vital to assert that had the jews not scaded and done all sorts of things to torture him,he wouldn't have fulfilled his fathers' mission in heaven.
