What personal philosophy or mindset diverted Jesus from ever using violence? Jesus did not come to destroy people but instead he came so that people would have life. John 10:10 says "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." We do not see any form of violence in this verse.
