Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God? Coz of our wrong activities we were separated from God. To solve this as a bible said no one can be cleaned without the shade of the blood. So the father put all our wrongnesses upon jesus to save us coz he loved us. That was the main reason for jesus to be separated spiritually for a time and shaded his blood physically.
