How does being forgiven increase ones love for God? Note: According to Jesus, God`s forgiveness is motivated by love.

If in debt, one feels like a slave.  There is a feeling of burden. It is difficult for one to walk freely.  If the yoke of indebtedness is lifted of their shoulders, there is definitely increased bond between the debtor and creditor.  The same applies to sin.  When one is in sin, there is the guilt feeling.  However, when we accept Jesus, confess our sins, and we are forgiven, we feel free to intermingle with His elect, and the bond   between the forgiven sinner and our Lord Jesus increases.

Why does Jesus place commandments to actively love above commandments to refrain from evil (thou shall notâ€Â¦)? Note: Jesus answered with two quotations from the Jewish law about loving God (Deuteronomy 6:4), and about loving neighbors (Leviticus 19:18).
Love is greatest of all. If you love others others, GOD will also love you.

God's laws are not burdensome, they can be reduced to two simple principles: love God and love others. These commands are from the Old Testament; Deuteronomy 6:5; Leviticus 19:18. When you love God completely and care for others as you care for yourself, then you have fulfilled the intent of the ten commandments and the other Old Testament laws. According to Jesus, these two commandments summarize all God's laws. Let them rule your thoughts, decisions, and actions. When you are uncertain about what to do, ask yourself which course of action best demonstartes love for God and love for others.
