God wants us to have a clear mind and heart in order to serve him. Once we approach him with clean and clear minds, he will grant our requests. "According to Jesus, what does it mean to be loved by God?" Obeying, keeping his word and doing his commandments. That is the only way to heaven and to abide in him.

Jesus taught that both believing and forgiving are key to effective prayer. Why do you think they are important? They are important because if you cannot forgive then you cannot be forgiven and if you are not forgiven then the prayer may not be effective.In order to move God the prayer must be effective from a clean heart.As followers of Christ we have to practise what He taught us in the prayer He taught us in " Our Father". Our Father is a forgiving one because each and every one of us has committed sins at one time or the other.God forgives as long as we ask for his forgiveness.
