Why didn`t the elders want the true story of Jesus` resurrection to get out? The elders didn't want the true story of Jesus's resurrection to come out because from the on set, they wanted Jesus dead and burried. That blind obsession led them to pervert the truth and justice they were supposed to protect. They had a belief that all people would end up rallying to Jesus and they would be left with no one on their side, which was not the main mission of Christ.
