What about Jesus` death impressed the Centurian so much that He realized Jesus was the Son of God? When Jesus died, the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom, there was a great earthquake, graves were open and bodies of many holy people were raised to life. All this and other events on that Friday afternoon, convinced the Centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus, that surely he was the Son of God.
