Why was it important for Jesus to go through a time of temptation? To show a good example to his followers. Anytime we turn ourself to GOD, satan is not happy at all, he subjects us to trouble so that we may loss hope.

How is Jesus coming into Galilee like light coming into a dark place? What is there about Jesus teaching that is like light? Jesus is the word, and the word brings light to the people who believe it. When people live in sin, they are in darkness. They can only see light by hearing the word of God and believe it and turn from their evil doing by confessing, repentance and baptism.
