Was there special signiificance in this greeting? Because He knew that they were afraid of the Jews, but they could be afraid of His sudden appearance as well, because as the doors were locked we are not told that the door was opened when Jesus came and stand in their midst.

Why did Jesus use the greeting. "Peace be to you"? Was there special signiificance in this greeting? it was a sign off assuring them of their security since they were afraid of the jews,also it symbolised Jesus as The prince of Peace
