Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?

The wages of sin is death. When man sinned, God told him that he shall surely die. Instead of man now dying, Jesus took our place and therefore had to die. By His stripes we are healed. This means for our healing to take place, both physical and spiritual, he had to go through the suffering he went through.

THE LAMB WAS KNOWN AS THE ONE WHICH WAS OFFERED AS SACRFICE TO GOD,SO JESUS WAS THE SACRIFICE THAT GOD GAVE FOR OUR SINS TO BE FORGIVEN.
