luke himself was eyewithness and he must have seen what Jesus did during his missions. Also he must have interviewed disciples and follower of Jesus. Also he may have got information from the patience who got healing from Jesus.

I THINK LUKE HAVING BEEN A PHYSICIAN HE WAS VERY WELL EDUCATED,ALSO LUKE WAS AN EYE WITNESS HIMSELF,HE WAS ALSO LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT WHEN WRITING.SO HE DID NOT NEED TO REFER TO OTHER PEOPLE.
