Mary Magdalene as we know was a prostitute who new what she was but she believed in Jesus and loved Him more after her sins had been forgiven.She was consistent in her love for Jesus and therefore still waited at the tomb even when others had left.

In the old Testament the women were despised and regarded as an important, no one could believe in what a woman said.Jesus came to givem importance to the women and therefore chose to show Himself first to Mary Magdalene so that women could be listen to and given some importance.We are all important in the eyes of God and therefore we need to regard each other well irrespective of our genda.
