How does Jesus want to care for the people of Jerusalem (Israel), and how do they respond?

Jesus wants to care for His people (Israel) like a hen keeps her brood warm and protected under her wings. However, even though they knew the Messiah was to come when He was indeed with them, they rejected him or any of the prophets who pointed to Him. In the same manner when I wilfully sin, even though I know it is evil, I try to justify it by making up my own moral code. Forgive me Father.

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?

this is becuse of mankinds nature of his sin and because Jesus came int this earth as human he ened up bearing the humankind s sins
