What was Jesus feeling and thinking while he was mocked and humiliated in front of others? Recall Jesus` own teachings (Matt 5:11), "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven."

Jesus was on amission to Save mankind. He knew He had to fulfill the mission as that was the Will of God His Father, Though He was feeling All Alone as He asked God later on My Father why have you desserted Me.

The Roman governor, Pilate, found that Jesus had done nothing wrong. Yet, he authorized Jesus` crucifixion to please the crowd. Can you explain why people put popularity above doing what is right?

Sometimes or most times we are afraid of what the crowds will say if we act as a Christian should,i.e. as our conscience tells us. We want to be part of the crowd and are afraid to stand up to what is right for fear of being laughed at or rejected. However, as Christians we must stand up for what is right, again that is as our conscience (which is the Holy Spirit) guides us no matter what the cost. Help us Father to be good Christians, i.e. followers of Christ.

When Peter realised he had denied knowing Jesus, why did he cry?

He cried because he had sworn that he will never deny Christ even if it means laying down his life for Christ.He came to his senses and remembered those words but becauseJesus is a merciful God,he forgave him.
