Why was it evil for the scribes and Pharisees to ask a sign from Jesus? The Scribes and the Pharisees don't have faith and they believe only in what they see. Jesus promised them to see the Jonah's sign in his Death and Ressurection after three days just the same way Jonah was in the fish for three days.
