2395 entries for this category: Why did the people ask Jesus to leave, even after He delivered the two demon-possessed men? It is really unfortunate for if they had asked Him to stay and befriended Him they would have been in safe hands. He would have been their Shepherd. Instead of being in awe of the fact that He was referred to as Jesus, the Son of God who had power over everything they feared Him. Unfortunately, likewise we too shy away from Jesus when we are not leading a spirit-filled life instead of running TO Him.

Why did Jesus seem to discourage the Scribe and the disciple from following Him? Didn`t He want these two to join Him? No not at all Jesus was just emphasizing on the sacrifices one has to make in order to follow Gods word.He himself didnt have a home.

He wanted the two to join them but they had to commit themselves inside there hearts and follow Him.He also wanted to teach them to search for the kingdom of God first.For the Scribe He wanted to show him that He was on a great mission of which He had to accomplish so that He rest.
