Jesus says in no uncertain terms that marriage is a lifelong commitment. To leave your spouse for another person may be legal, but it is adultery in God's eyes.

Jesus advocates using material wealth on earth (unrighteous mammon) to gain true riches in heaven. How can you do this? Our use of money is a good test of the lordship of Christ; we must use our material goods in a way that will foster faith and obedience. We must make wise use of the financial opportunities we have, not to earn heaven, but so that heaven will be a welcome experience for those we help. If we use our money to help those in need or to help others find Christ, our earthly investment will bring eternal benefit.

How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him?" a "New" commandment? A new commandment works, but above that the works and faith, God is perfect and we are weak but we are perfected through obedience and faith in Jesus Christ.
