why did Judas betray Jesus with a kiss? This he did in the fulfillment of scriptures. It is always the people we know or are close to that betray us. The kiss was a symbol of greeting or affection, so judas used it to disguise his betrayal so that Jesus wouldn't suspect that he was the one who gave him away. but what he didn't know was that Jesus knew all this was to happen before it did.
