The Virtue of greed. They don't like to share what they have with others.

Again the prefer to be the leaders. Telling them to follow is like an insult to their personality. They hold onto their titles

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?

Man is a triune being. Much as he's spritual, he also body(physical) and soul(emotional). For a total and hoalistic work the penality had to be paid

Beside we sin in all the three fold. Thought, (emotional) actions (phyiscal) and what we fail to do. As such a holaistic sacrifice had to paid.
