Why do you think Peter was so emphatic and yet so wrong about denying Jesus?

Peter was acting, like a human being, with emotions and sincerety, not knowing that the battle was spiritual. Most of us compromise alot with sin, imagining that a spiritual test might look fantastic and enormously miraculous. We cant imagine the soft voice of a little girl, as being the tempter itself. We of course realise later and regret immesurably. All of us are like peter: emphatic yet wanting.

What talents has the Lord entrusted you with, and how can you put these talents to good use?

A car through which I give lifts to some friends/passengers. In it I play gospel songs and tell them about Jesus, the saviour and deliverer. A Computer through which I publish testimonies for free circulation, and hlp type church programs. A large sitting room in which every tuesday evening, we conduct house cell fellowships. A video system, through which I display christian movies to the church. Profession as a teacher, and I teach the Word.

What things should we, as faithful and wise servants, be doing while we wait for the return of Jesus?

He bought us with a price, and we are His, whether he is around or away. He should find us doing his assignments, and of course he will reward us. We should guard against self glorification, or exploits for personal gains, as some pastors are seen doing in Uganda. Serve him, and him alone until he comes, or until we rest. Remain in the fellowship of Believers, and avoid the evil associations. God bless you.
