Why was the king so angry when those invited did not come to the wedding banquet? What point was Jesus making with this parable?
The King had put in alot of value, by offering as much as he could towards the budget, yet the invited guests were not worthy. The King had power and authority to execute judgment, but the guests were unbothered. Even the man who came to the King's party without a dresscode was unworthy of a King's banquet. We always need to get serious about the King's business, since it costed God a whole expensive blood of his dear son.

What lesson do you think Jesus taught the disciples by cursing the fig tree?
The infinite authority of God the Father, through Jesus, the Lord. Ask the Father anything, and it shall be done. Whatever you ask, it shall be granted. etc. He castigated them for being Faithless, and indeed one time he said, if they had faith even as small as a mustard seed, it would have effect. Faith, Prayer, and Results are the three lessons to learn from here. God bless u.

Why did Jesus clear the temple in such a dramatic manner? Why did not he try to accomplish the same thing more diplomatically?
I do not know of any diplomatic way of dealing with people bent on opposing one, or serving the wrong motives, in the house of God. Imagine-buying and selling (worldly) rather than Prayer (Godly), in the house of God. I support Jesus' militantcy. Somewhere in the bible, it is written that the Kingdom of heaven will be taken forcefully, and the forceful will inherit it. Infact those chief priests were lucky it wasnt me, otherwise they too should have had a bit of the lashes too.
