The Scribes and the Pharisees have seen much more than the people of Nineveh, or the queen of sheba. Nineveh people heard the prophet Jonah, and three days with sack cloth and fasting, they repented, but the scribes and the Pharisees have seen not only a prophet, but the Messiah, the Christ of God, and in stubbornness have refused to repent. Why really should un repentant and stubborn generation ask for or expect anything Good from God the Father? A sinner is one who refuses to repent.

Why didn`t Jesus want those He healed to make Him known? First he must lead justice to victory. Last, the victory is on the cross, by shedding that innocent blood which would ultimately pull down satan's kingdom, and establish the home of God among his people on earth. That last step had a time set for it, and there was therefore no need to pre empt it.
