What was Jesus trying to teach people when He deliberately violated the Sabbath in order to heal people?

That He was the Lord even of the Sabbath. Also that about such virtues like - love, healing, saving life, etc, there is no law. He wanted them to realise that it was their obedience to God, rather than strict observance of the law, that mattered most - in God's kingdom.

Why does the Father hide things from the wise and intelligent and reveal them to infants?

Because to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven, one has to receive it like a child. It is hard for the intelligent and the wise to appreciate the mysteries of God, since they argue and reason like those who see when they are blind. Children simply believe.

What changes should there have been in cities like Chorazin and Bethsaida as a result of the mighty works performed by Jesus?

The changes that should have been in cities like Chorazin and Bethsaida are :

The people of those cities should have left their sinful ways of life that were immoral before God.

Secondly, the people of those cities were supposed to worship only God and should have left worshipping Idols.

They were also supposed to surrender their lives to God to lead them.

And more so they wre supposed to have believed Jesus' teachings and follow it, also believe that Jesus is the Messiah and allow him to rule, heal and guide them in their daily living.
