Why was it important for Jesus to go through a time of temptation?

Hello dear friends, Jesus had to go through this time inorder to accomplish the mission, he had to pass all the tests and more importantly this test all prophets never passed it. Somany prophets failled to redeem Isreal b'se they couldn't overcome the temptations of the devil, so it meant Jesus to first overcome these temptations inorder to go forth for with this mission of redeeming Isrealites and even beyond that being the fact that he came in humanity, he had to go through what others go through inorder to make agood report before God and to have compasation on human kind by measuring their weaknesses.

How did (does) repenting prepare someone for the Kingdom of God?

Hello dear friends, Well when someone repents he is ready to be anew creature. He forgets all the past and he changes direction. So when people repented that meant that they were ready to follow the gospel of Jesus our lord b'se if your not of God, your of a devil. So that meant that they had to believe the gospel of the lord this time around from Jesus.Their hearts had to broken and humbled to create room for new words from the saviour by doing this, they had access to kingdom of God.

How did Joseph know it was a real angel appearing to him in his dreams, and not just , for example, indigestion?

Hello dear friends, Yes Joseph had confirmation by the angle in his dream and being the fact that he was a believer, he didn't compromise.
