I have a feeling that it's because it was Mary Magdalene last person on the tomb and perhaps when the time had come for Jesus to resuracte she was there.But something beyond that is love, it's takes too much love and concern to be on the tomb last actaully to most people they are even scared to be their alone. So Mary Magdalene had great love for our Lord Jesus christ.

Why did Jesus use the greeting. "Peace be to you"? Was there special signiificance in this greeting? Hello dear friends, Yes Jesus has always shown a symbol of peacefullness in his ministry and when he was leaving he had also to emphasize it to the disciples.As you realise that the fruit of the spirit is Love , joy, peace and so on in Galatians 5:22.To me this implies that when people have the spirit of God, they should let peace prevail in their midst and actaully in Old testament the bible says that can two people walk together when they have not agreed.Inother words there should be peace inorder for the two to walk together. That is the reason as to why Jesus emphasized on peace.God bless you

Why did Jesus use the greeting. "Peace be to you"? Was there special signiificance in this greeting? Early that morning, was the news and excitement of ressurrection of Jesus among the disciples. During the brightness of the day, and while the excitement prevailed among the Jesus' followers, the devil's group also waged an anti ressurrection crusade. This threatened the disciples to the core. By evening, as darkness loomed, there was fear, a locked door, and the jewish threat. The state of affairs was total unrest, lack of peace, and that was what exactly Jesus wanted to deal with. So "Peace be to you" was the most reassuring word, from the right mouth, which the disciples needed most. The Lord always meets us at our point of need. Amen.
