What was there about Jesus` message caused so many of His disciples to turn away?

Hello dear friends, i would like to start by saying that before we critsize the disciples, let us know how we ourselves would have understood this saying minus the holy spirit. Remember these people i mean the disciples, before Jesus going to heaven the had no holyspirit to inspire them and open the mystries of God or reveal God's word to them.Jesus is saying that unless people eat his boday and drink his blood, they will have eternal life. To anoble man this looks or sounds riduculous so I think that's why they pulled alittle back.But honestly even if it was you when you don't have the holy ghost like today, you would do the same trust me because you would ponder about taking Jesus's blood and boday and finally get confused.God bless you.

How does one, in our current day eat the flesh of Jesus and drink His blood?

Hello dear friends, when we go for holy communion at church we do eat and drink the fleshs and blood of jesus respectively. Now whenever we drink wine, this signfies that we are drinking on the blood of Jesus on the cross and when we take that bread and eat it we remember that our sins are no more and for that matter it's advised to go for communion when your heart is flee.When you are ready to repent and as you eat on this bread and drink on that cup your sins are forgiven and this is asignific I Corinthians 11: 24,ancy of eternal life.
