Jesus loved the world He had the authority to stop His death, but He didn't. He restricted Him self from even much as cursing. He went as far as forgiving the crusfying team.Greater love than that cannot be found anywhere on earth.

Why was it necessary for Jesus to increase and John to decrease? Jesus was from heaven, and testified of heavenly things, while John was from on earth. Secondly Jesus was the source of eternal life, not John. Thirdly, it was John's utmost joy as a fore runner of Jesus, to see that his witness was truthful.
