Why do you think Jesus did not speak to Herod nor answer Pilate?

Hello dear friends, Jesus knew that the time had come for him to be sacrified and more importantly he knew that these people wouldn't believe him because they were working for people and the had to do what was in the intrest of the people so being the fact that Jesus had the holyspirit and the spirit of discernment,He didn't answer these people even asingle word.

In this account Jesus healed the servants ear. Why did he do such a seemingly small thing while he was being arrested?

Do not take this serious message at surface value. Do you remember Jesus pardoned a criminal at the eleventh hour, at the time of dying? So what is an arrest to Jesus? He was clear minded about his earthly mission, to seek and to save... and here was a son of Abraham in tears over his cut ears. And here was an opportunity to teach his disciples another big lesson, that it is not by the sword, that we shall win the war against the devil, and his forces of darkness, but by Love. Jesus already knew we had the victory.
