What did Jesus imply by saying, "This is my blood of the new coveneant, which is poured out for many."? Consider that the Passover was a Jewish festival that remembered when a plague of death "passed over" the home of those Jewish pe Indeed a covenant was being sealed, not with the blood of the lamb, but with the Almighty Precious blood of the Son of God the creater. This new covenant was nolonger only restricted to the Jews, but to as many as received Jesus Christ. It was now an open ticket into the everlasting atonement for our sins, and reconcilliation with the Father. I feel it true everytime I go for Holy Communion that I am replenished spiritually, and pardoned, cleansed, and justified in the fellowship of God the Father, the son and the holy Spirit. What was Jesus trying to teach about giving (amount, motive, attitute)? Amount should be really all that you can give, since all we have are from God, and we merely give it to him. Motive ought to be positive, out of love and reverence, rather than out of pride or fear or compulsion. The attitude to give to the church treasury should be out of concern and responsibility. Unfortunately many of us fall short of this divine attributes. Sometimes I find myself failing to get to church fellowship simply because I do not even have a dime to offer. At times, I have what is covered by budget of other priority areas, making God to take less or be left out, for which I repent.
