Why do you think Jesus looked up to heaven and then sighed before the healing?
To give glory to God, the heavenly King. That people might realise that his authority was derived from God.

Healing and multiplying food did not convice the religious leaders. What sign would have convinced you of Jesus as God?
Religious leaders knew of many miracles performed by magicians, which centered around food or healing. It was not new-remember even the wisemen of pharoah turned sticks into snakes. Elijah also did miracles, etc, but they did not claim to be equal to God. As for me, I believe I would believe in Jesus, not because of signs, but because the reality was that he was able..asoboola. The religious leaders wanted a sign as prophesied - of a messiah who would be king of the jews. The did not live long enough to see that - unto today.

What was Jesus trying to teach the disciples? Note: Jesus left twelve baskets full when he fed the 5000 people on the Israel side (Israel had 12 main regions or tribes).
The yeast of the pharisees, and the scribes, was trying to blow things out of proportion. Jesus was the bread of life, and his was reality not hypocrisy, as was with the pharisees and the scribes.
