Why was it wrong for the servant to bury the talent?
The servant did not know multiplier effect in economics. He lacked wisdom, and did not act according to the will of God ie, by making profit, or multiplying talents. Actually, he understood God to be a bad master, reaping where he did not sow. His negative attitude made him not to be a party to the investment. His action merely portrayed his heart-evil.

Why was the woman`s act so pleasing to Jesus?
This was a moment and a place to recline and rest, after the terrific questions, challenges, attempts to corner and arrest him, by the pharisees, saducees, elders, hypocrites, chief priests, etc. For once, Jesus was witnessing something positive about him- a delivered woman paying tribute to the master. A grateful heart filled with unreserved love- the sacrifice which God loves. Jesus took opportunity to teach the Disciples something about honoring the Lord of the day. He even related it to his death and burial.

Since Jesus knew that He was to be crucified, why did He not just avoid trouble by leaving town?
To avoid death by crucification on the cross would be to miss the entire plan of God for the redemption of mankind. Death, and Satan would not have had opportunity to be defeated, and mankind would not be reconciled to God, since there would have been no blood covenant. The only way out was to get through God`s will and purpose in Jesus. He obeyed willingly, since he, as the obedient son of God, was bound to obey. To avoid death by crucifixion would be to give satan victory.
