1251 entries for this category: Why is it OK with God to pay the one who worked all day the same amount paid to the one who worked only an hour? It was ok with God to reward each hired labourer the way He did. I am only surprised that those who started at 7.00 a.m after reaching an agreed pay of one denarius staged a complaint. They had agreed and I believe that it was a normal day`s wage, and not cheating or penalty. The ones who worked only one hour received blessings, not a days` wage- and God called them all Friends. I think the complainants acted rather humanly. Maybe this human type reaction, as was also demonstrated by the elder brother`s response in the return of the prodigal son in Luke 15. should teach us about God`s nature- He treats us equally as His children, once we have obediently signed the contract with Him.

Why is it OK with God to pay the one who worked all day the same amount paid to the one who worked only an hour? So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few are chosen.
it is a life experience you can start something and later some people come in late and the earn more than you, so that does not surprise us as human beings if God also did the same.
