212 entries for this category: I don't think so. Jesus knows all the time that He had to die for the redemption of humanity. He was not trying to incite his death. He just knew what is destiny is all about, and as such He stays in the will of His Father. Intimacy to Him means confiding in Him, everything, i.e our good as well as hard times... we must have the time to experience His presence in our lives by giving Him the 1st place in whatever situations we are. And to experience Him in our lives, we have to abide to His commandments and live in obedience to Him. That's the only way that He'll be able to work in us... Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God? ... because after all He is a human being, with feelings and emotions, just like us... He is God, in the human form.
